Lingleville Cards take district golf championship

The Lingleville Cardinals golf team claimed the District 22-A championship title Wednesday, April 1 at Squaw Valley in Glen Rose.

Victoria Cameron stole the show on Saturday, April 4 winning the women’s 100 meters while running the top time in the NCAA this season and the second-fastest time in the world this year at the 98th annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays hosted by Texas at the Mike A. Myers Stadium.

The Dublin Lions fought their way to a welldefended win on the home diamond against Breckenridge Tuesday, March 24.Ivan Phelps led the Lions to the win on the mound with 11 strikeouts amongst 17 outs.Caden Vanbebber led the home team in hits going 3 for 3 in at-bats.

BROWNWOODWater stained; 54 degrees; 4.77’ low. Largemouth bass are excellent on soft plastics around docks in 10-12 feet. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs in 15-18 feet. White bass are slow on slabs. Catfish are good on cut carp and jug lines with cut shad or perch.

The Dublin High School boys golf team placed 9th out of 16 teams in competition at Squaw Valley in Glen Rose Monday, March 24.Leading the Pride was Hayden Milburn who placed 30th with 89 strokes.Other Lions in the competition were: 35. Joe Salinas - 9540. Jitse DeBoer - 9841. Kyler Gaitan - 9942.
