DHS is sending Ayush Patel to Regionals following a first place finish at district competition at Brock last week. He will play in the next round on Monday at Rose Park in Abilene with the tournament starting at 8 a.m.

A referee confirms an out for Dublin as Lion Cooper Pickett stretches for the out while keeping his foot on first base. The out was madde Friday as the Lions hosted the Brock Eagles in a 13-1 loss on the Dublin diamond. This followed a 13-1 home loss to the Early Longhorns on March 29.

LHS athletes advance

Lingleville High School is sending several athletes to regional competition following recent events. Golf The boys took second place as a team to advance. Players are:Cade Lingle, Caden Howard, Joseph Briseno, Klaas Schievink and Memphis Bays. Emma Hudson also received second place Medalist.

BROWNWOOD SLOW. Water stained; 53-56 degrees; 2.29 feet low. Black bass are slow with catches up to 5.5 pounds in the main lake in 8-10 feet of water in the bushes on crankbaits, and in 2-7 feet of water in bushes on spinnerbaits, and spinnerbaits or senkos up the rivers.

The Dublin Lady Lions moved to 1-5 in district after a 16-0 shutout Friday at Millsap and 15-6 home loss to Eastland on March 22. The Lions are at 1-3 following a 10-6 away loss to Millsap and a 15-5 home win over Eastland. — Paul Gaudette
