DABC Golf tourney July 30

The Dublin Athletic Booster Club is hosting the annual golf tournament on July 30 at PAR Country Club, benefitting the Dublin High School athletics program. Entry into the four-person scramble event is $75 per person or $300 per team. Entry fees include green fees, carts, breakfast and lunch.

DISD hosts registration on Aug. 3

Dublin Elementary School is hosting registration for pre-K, kindergarten and new students on Aug. 3. Registration will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the elementary library.

United Co-op awards local graduates

Dublin, Lingleville and Stephenville graduates were among 15 outstanding area student that United Cooperative Services presented a combined $43,000 in scholarships on Thursday. Of the 15 scholarship awards, 12 were in the amount of $2,000.

Lions picked to place third

Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine recently sent out their 2022-23 season preview guide with Dublin Lions predicted to take third in District 5-3A. The publication picked Eastland and Jacksboro for the number one and two spots and Millsap, Comanche and Merkel as places 4, 5 and 6 respectively.

Memorial shirts to fund scholarships

The memory of former Dublin High School Sophomore Eddie Hernandez won’t soon be for-gotten and this year, Dublin Lion fans can embrace his memory while benefitting a scholarship fund in his honor.

Lions leap to top 8 in state 7-on-7

The Dublin Lions 7-on-7 football team ended their season in the top 8 at the state tournament Friday. “It was a good two days,” Coach Greg Hardcastle said of the four winds and two losses the Lions had in the state tournament.
