TxDOT issues update

Though everyone in Dublin is probably asking Santa for less construction, an update from TxDOT was provided to the Dublin Citizen last week.

Teacher Incentive program to start

Initial approval for DISD to join the state’s Teacher Incentive Allotment program was given by the school board during its Monday, Dec. 15 board meeting. Dublin ISD just started the initial 3-year process with the first step being a teacher survey seeing if they were interested in starting the TIA.

Holiday Band concert Thursday, Dec. 11The annual Holiday Band Concert will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11 at the Main gym at the Dublin Elementary Secondary Campus.Bands will play holiday music selections including the 6th grade band, Junior High Band, Jazz Band and High School band.

Tree of Angels set for Dec. 11

The Erath County victim services staff will host the 24th Annual Tree of Angels Thursday Dec. 11. The Tree of Angels is a time for victims, families and friends of victims to come together and remember those that have been victimized or lost due to violent crime.

Judging this Sunday, Monday for contest

The city of Dublin, The Dublin Citizen, Revitalize Dublin and The Dublin Chamber of Commerce are partnering together for this year’s annual Christmas Lighting Contest.Each entity will judge one quadrant of the city Dec. 14 and 15, and the top five will be selected from each area with photos taken.

The following first responder calls were made Dec. 1– 7. Local first responders handled 63 calls during this time frame and PD completed 19 traffic stops.Dublin PD Dec. 1A subject was released from jail but could not go home due to an emergency protective order in place.

Stephenville City Council: Council approves zoning change

A new multi-family development got a nod of approval with its zoning change at the Tuesday, Dec. 3 Stephenville City Council meeting.Council considered a zoning change for a parcel of land located at 957 Frey.
