Hispanic Heritage this weekend

Hispanic heritage month continues in Dublin with the 5th annual Chamber of Commerce Hispanic Heritage Festival Friday night and Saturday at City Park.“We are really excited to be able to offer a 2-day event this year,” Chamber President Nancy Williams said. Admission to the festival is free.

Teen faces weapon charge

A 14-year-old juvenile was arrested Friday, Sept. 12 on charges of unlawful carry of a weapon in prohibited places – weapon free zone after bringing a firearm to the Dublin Varsity football game.The charge is a 2nd degree felony.

Joint Dispatch breaks ground

Hundreds of citizens, officials and first responders gathered Monday, Sept. 15 for a moment in Erath County history – the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Joint Dispatch Center.

Officer pledges to never forget

For the second year in a row, Dublin PD’s own patrol officer climbed 110 flights of stairs in honor of those first responders who perished during the 9/11 terrorist attacks.Officer Cody Cook spent Saturday, Sept. 6 participating in the Dallas 9/11 Stair Climb at Comerica Tower in downtown Dallas.

Dublin EMS moves to Erath

Dublin City Council officially voted to have Erath County take over the operations of Dublin EMS (effective Oct.1, 2025) during the regular meeting Monday, Sept. 8.
