Helipad to be closed

The helicopter landing pad at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville will be closed from March 22 to April 8 (tentative) due to construction on North Graham Street (Texas State Highway 108).

Masonic Lodge hosting blood drive Saturday

Hamilton Herald News Hamilton ISD decided to continue with the use of masks indoors until April 30. Superintendent Clay Tarpley said that the majority of the staff said they would like to receive their first vaccination before masks come off in the classroom.

Campos picked for Leadership Class

Erath County Judge Alfonso Campos was among 16 elected officials from 15 Texas counties picked for a new Commissioners Court Leadership Academy – Class IX organized by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension’s V.G. Young Institute of County Government. The opening seminar will take place this month in Austin.

SHERIFF’S REPORT

March 20 At 9:48 a.m. a raccoon was shot dead with probably rabies after acting strangely on CR 198. At 4:43 p.m. a fire burned twenty-five acres of land before being put out on FM 1188 West. At 5:35 p.m. another raccoon was acting strangely on Hwy 281 North. March 21 At 5:11 p.m.

POLICE LOG

March 22 An officer made contact with a male individual at Bigs who was filled his water bottle from the outside faucet on the 500 block of Blackjack. An officer assisted the Erath County Sheriff’s office with a vehicle off the roadway.
