Fishing report

BROWNWOOD SLOW. Water slightly stained; 61-66 degrees; 8.05 feet low. Bass are slow to 3.75 pounds in 5-10 feet of water on jigs and topwaters early in the day, and late in 1-5 feet of water on the flats. Squarebill crankbaits and shaky heads around docks with brush.

Rodeo Museum fundraiser Saturday

The Rodeo Heritage Museum in Dublin is having their major fundraiser this Saturday and the event will have all kinds of rodeo fun including a live and silent auction and raffle. The event will be at 6 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Dublin High School Cafeteria.

Tarleton inducts 4 to rodeo hall of fame

Tarleton State University’s Rodeo Hall of Fame inducted four new members — Billy Bob Brown, Kody Engle-Granado, Pat Yancey and Rex Bland —at the organization’s annual steak dinner and auction Nov. 4 at the Tarleton Rodeo Arena. Proceeds benefit the rodeo scholarship fund.

Mattressville of Stephenville is inviting the community to flock over to BMY this Saturday for the return of the Great Turkey Giveaway. For four years, Mattressville has been helping feed local families for the holiday. “We’re grateful to be in business,” said owner Brandon McDonald.

30 years sentenced in murder plea

After more than two years since the murder of a Dublin woman, Jeffrey Kenneth Rogers, 62, signed a plea agreement for 30 years in prison. Rogers pled guilty to the First Degree Felony offense for the murder of Traci Leigh Jones and was sentenced to 30 years through the agreement on Nov.
