Tarleton to host spring concerts

Tarleton State University’s Department of Fine Arts will conclude its spring season with several concerts. Thursday, Tarleton’s Jazz III ensemble, directed by Wade Girton, will play the music of Count Basie, Wayne Shorter and Thelonious Monk as well as compose a blues tune on the spot.

A young cowgirl holds on to her dad as he spins her in circles, much like the bulls he competed on later in the evening. The Burnin Bull Bull Riding Show was held Thursday, April 20 at the H20 Arena outside Dublin and boasted the riding talent of bullriders from across the area.

This time of year always reminds me how it seemed like things got much busier around the dairy with spring’s arrival. Growing up on my parents’ dairy, spring meant we were able to let the cows have fresh green grass by grazing wheat, oats or ryegrass.

It’s hard to believe that the 2022-2023 school year is coming to an end. We started taking EOC(End of Course) tests last week. English I was taken on April 18th and English II on April 19th. This week we have taken the Biology EOC on April 25th and U.S History on April 27th.

Ribbon Cutting heralds upcoming rodeo

The Dublin community is invited to join the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and Lilly G Arena Productions at the Corner Lot on Saturday, April 29 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for a funfilled ribbon cutting event in advance of an open bull riding spectacular at the Dublin City Park Arena.
