Ribbon cutting heralds upcoming rodeo

Lilly G Arena Productions is returning to the Dublin City Park Arena Saturday, May 6 for the Monta de Toros rodeo, which will feature a special tribute to a cherished rodeo clown from the headliner who revered him.

Citizen brings home 13 awards

The Dublin Citizen team took home 13 awards in the North and East Texas Press Association Better Newspaper Contest. Awards were announced Saturday, April 29 in Nacogdoches to conclude NETPA’s 96th annual convention.

Fleeing bull moves into frame, fame

When the Clayton family took a short video of hail pummeling their home and swimming pool on County Road 371 near Bunyan they had no idea that their bull, Drago would enter the frame. They also had no idea of the notoriety that would follow.
The Homesite team placed 23rd out of 61 teams at the State Homesite Career and Leadership Development Events recently hosted by Tarleton State University. Team members are from left, Paige Wilson, Jackie Gibson, Andrew Butter and David Hernandez. The team was ranked 41st in state going into contest, so they improved by 20 places. Submitted photo

Sales tax income down slightly

Dublin sales tax collections were down in February, at -9.41% lower compared to February 2022, according to the state sales tax report released by Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar this month. Forthemonthof February 2023, Dublin received $36,640.35, compared to $40,450.70 in February 2022.
