Calves for kids set

Dublin Livestock Auction is hosting the 4th Annual Calves for Kids Fundraiser Friday, Dec. 15 to bring a Merry Christmas to kids in local communities. Donated cattle and cash are currently being collected. The cattle will be sold during the regular Dec.

Nov. 20 A reporting person stated there was a driver leaning over hitting the passenger in a white truck coming into Dublin on West Highway 6. An officer made contact with the vehicle and there was no hitting. All passengers advised everything was good.

Shop with a Cop still taking donations

It’s official! More than $3,500 has been donated so far this season for Shop with a Cop in Dublin. It’s not too late to donate as Dublin PD and other Erath County law enforcement entities are continuing to collect funds for Shop with a Cop.

Researchers at the Texas A&M AgriLife Center for Grazinglands and Ranch Management are investigating the impact of grazing practices on the long-term sustainability and biodiversity of landscapes enrolled in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Conservation Reserve Program.

BROWNWOOD GOOD. Water stained; 60-62 degrees; 8.57 feet below pool. Black bass are slow on jigs and on crankbaits in 5-10 feet of water. Crappie are slow around the docks on minnows in 10-12 feet of water. White bass are slow on crankbaits and small jigs. Catfish are slow on baited holes.

Tour of homes this Sunday

Community Table ends decade of giving

On Wednesday, Nov. 29, volunteers gathered at the First Methodist Church in the fellowship hall for the final Community Table, preparing and packaging hundreds of meals for neighbors as they have done for nearly 10 years.

Library to reopen Dec. 9

The Dublin Public Library is anticipated to reopen Saturday, Dec. 9 and will be ready to put its best foot forward after receiving a major renovation. The library, which has been closed since Saturday, Nov. 18, has received new paint, brand new carpet, two new murals and new furniture and shelving.
