Dublin student art to go larger than life on county building

A Dublin ISD student will soon see her artistic endeavors in a full size mural on the newly purchased juvenile probation office in Stephenville.
Several protests occurred this week in opposition to Dublin PD aiding in ICE enforcement operations. A protest at the Corner Lot occurred Sunday, July 12 and one across from the Dublin City Hall occurred Monday, July 13. A viral video regarding an officer’s comments in a convenience store also drew attention. Chief Cameron Ray stated the comment was completely uncalled for and that there will be consequences. ICE response draws eyes, ire

Eleven individuals were arrested in Erath County Saturday, July 11 for immigration related issues during an immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) operation.

National Day of the Cowboy set July 25

National Day of the Cowboy is on the horizon and Dublin is set to celebrate Saturday, June 25.The event will benefit the Dublin Rodeo Heritage Association and Museum, and is presented by Lilly G Arena Productions.Festivities will kick off at the Dublin City Park Arena at 2 p.m.

The Dublin City Council considered assisting a major subdivision to be constructed on the north side of town and EDC matters in a regular meeting Monday, July 13.

Comanche Museum hosts summertime activities

The Comanche County Museum recently held a slew of summertime events with more on the horizon.Museum staff enjoyed the Boykin Family Reunion members who visited the Museum June 19- 20.Organizers also said they had a wonderful Art Show from June 12-26.

Scouts have summer fun at Camp Gibbons

Scouting America Troop 30, from Dublin, was selected as number one Troop at Camp Billy Gibbons from June 4-7 this summer. The boys represented Dublin well. While they were there, they took classes in first aid, archery, geology, chess, soil, water conservation, fishing and canoeing.
