The energy in the Neff Gym was electric Tuesday, Jan. 21 as The Lady Lions went into overtime against Peaster in a game decided by a few points.“We went into overtime and stayed in foul trouble,” said head Dublin girls basketball coach Kim Perez. “They couldn’t miss a free throw.

Lions looking to regain No. 2 spot

The Dublin Lions were looking for wins this week to climb back up the district ladder following losses to Peaster and Comanche.The Lions hosted the Peaster Greyhounds Tuesday, Jan.21 with the visitors winning 66-42.

Lady Cardinals fans got to witness a 56-28 victory and a career milestone for senior Ciklali Rangel as she celebrated hitting 1,000 points during the home game against Three Way Friday, Jan. 24.Rangel was just 4 points earning 1,000 as a varsity Lady Cardinal when the game began.

Dublin Secondary School’s gym was packed Saturday, Jan. 18 as the Lions hosted its invitational powerlifting meet to kick off the season.Topping Dublin’s results was Cassidy Adair, who took gold in the girls’ 198 with a total lift of 875 pounds (320 in squat, 235 in bench and 320 in dead lift.
