Lady Lions take fight to Millsap

The Dublin Lady Lions stood strong in their March 7 home game against Millsap until a series of runs in the seventh inning turned the score in the visitor’s favor.

Lions earn district honors

A number of Dublin Lion hoopsters were recognized last week as District 8-3A selections were made.Alex Teten was named Offensive MVP and First team All District.Kaden Gaitan and Hunter Jones were named First Team All District.DJ Ferguson was selected Second Team All District.

Three DHS lifters statebound

Dublin High School is sending three Lady Lion powerlifters to state competition in Edinburg after they placed high at the Regional Competition in Dublin Saturday, March 1.Candy Rodriguez took first place in the 148 class with a total lift of 745 pounds (305 squat, 180 bench press, 260 dead lift).

Lady Cards lift at Regionals

Lingleville powerlifter Jazmin Martinez placed 5th in the 97 class during the Regional powerlifting competition Feb. 22 in Dublin. She had a total lift of 380 (155 squat, 60 bench press, 165 dead lift).

16 DHS lifters Region bound

Dublin High School is sending 16 powerlifters to regional competition this season after they qualified at invitationals in recent weeks.Qualifying Lady Lions will compete in the Regional 3A held in the Dublin gym March 1.
