The Dublin Lions improved against the Indians as they faced Comanche twice last week, first at home on Tuesday, March 18 and then away Friday, March 21.
The Lions scored 6 against Comanche’s 16 at home but the score doesn’t communicate some impressive stats racked up by the Lions in their own den.
Joe Salinas led at bat with 3 hits, 2 runs batted in (RBI) and a stolen base. Dalton Bullard followed with two hits and a stolen base. Kyler Gaitan scored a double, 3 RBIs and 2 stolen bases. Hudsen Joslin snagged two stolen bases and a hit while Aaron Rodriguez, Alex Teten (who also had an RBI) and Caden Vanbebber scored hits.
Vanbebber, Joslin and Gaitan scored two runs while Rodriguez and Bullard scored one each. On the mound, Rodriguez threw 4 strikeouts while Joslin threw two.
The Pride traveled to Comanche Friday, March 21 and scored 8 against the Indians’ 11 in the rematch.
Kyler Gaitan led on the offensive side with 3 hits, 3 runs, a stolen base and an RBI. Rodriguez scored two runs and a hit. Joslin had 3 hits and an RBI. Salinas had two hits and an RBI. Paxton Loper scored a hit and a run. Bullard had a hit and an RBI, and Vanbebber scored an RBI.
On the mound, Salinas threw 6 strikeouts and Joslin threw 2.
