Dublin High School is sending nine students to Regional academic UIL competition after they placed high at the District Academic meet in Comanche Wednesday, March 26.Dubliners winning gold at the event were Mason Graves in Mathematics and Alexis Evans in Literary Criticism.

The Lady Lions battled Early and Tolar on the softball diamond last week.Dublin put up 4 against Early’s 18 in an away game March 25. Adriana Stewart contributed 2 RBIs while Olivia Salyer had 2 stolen bases. The Lady Lions had 4 stolen bases during the game.

Lions improve in Comanche clashes

The Dublin Lions improved against the Indians as they faced Comanche twice last week, first at home on Tuesday, March 18 and then away Friday, March 21.The Lions scored 6 against Comanche’s 16 at home but the score doesn’t communicate some impressive stats racked up by the Lions in their own den.

Golfers start district

DHS golfers traveled to the Hideout at Brownwood Monday, March 24 for the first round of district competition with several in the running for regional competition. The finalist will be determined as they travel to Mineral Wells’ Holiday Hills Monday, March 31.

Lions pow wow with Peaster

The Dublin Lions grappled with Greyhounds last week as they traveled to Peaster Tuesday, March 11 and hosted them in a rematch Saturday, March 15.The Lions went scoreless in the away game (16-0) but Aaron Rodriguez land a double and a run while Alex Teten scored a hit in the 19-1 home loss.
