The Dublin Lady Lion Volleyball Camp will be held from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. June 20 through June 22, offering all girls that are incoming first through 8th graders a chance to practice on the Lady Lion home court with players and coaching staff.

Sixty five golfer braved rain delays at the Ben Hogan Legacy Golf Series Friday, June 3 at PAR Country Club in Proctor. Beautiful Texas golf weather eventually welcomed 24 teams playing in the annual fundraising event for Dublin’s Ben Hogan museum.

7-on-7 snags state ticket

The Dublin Lions earned a ticket to the state playoffs during the qualifying tournament hosted by Dublin Friday at Cervetto Field. “We just got better and better all day,” said Coach Greg Hardcastle of his team’s performance.

LHS grads rack up $234k

Lingleville graduated 17 seniors during the 2022 commencement exercises on Friday night. The event had a fittingly celebratory tone as salutatorian Tessa Lueck led the gym in singing happy birthday to classmate Caden Howard after sharing school memories.

BROWNWOOD SLOW. Water stained; 71-75 degrees; 3.12 feet low. Bass are good to 8.05 pounds on jigs, crankbaits and swimbaits along the rocky banks and docks in 3-10 feet of water. Some bass are still spawning, most are post spawn and a few are in a summer pattern. Crappie are good to 1.

The Dublin Lions 7-on-7 football boys went 3 and 1 in tournament play Saturday at Hamilton. Dublin started out the tournament with a 20-7 win over Rogers, which Dublin Coach Grag Hardcastle is historically a good team in a period of rebuild after losing several senior players.

DHS graduate Levi Bamber claimed a personal record and nearly set the world record in bench as he took the top spot in the 148 weight class at the IPA Baddest Bencher on the Plant in Kingswood this weekend, where lifters from 12 countries were competing.

DISD elects new officers

The Dublin ISD School Board elected officers and canvassed the May 7 election during its regular meeting Monday night. Bob Cervetto, Pat Leatherwood and Anjelica Salyer were given their oath of office following the canvassing.
