The Dublin Lady Lions split losses at home and in tournament play over the last week.
On Aug. 16, the Dublin girls hosted the Mineral Wells in a 3-0 loss for the home team.
Dublin started strong but lost footing in the first set for a 25-12 finish in MW’s favor. The Lady Lions regained their composure and gave the Rams a fight despite the closeout finishing with 23 and 19 to the visitors’ 25s.
The Ladies then traveled to Hamilton for tournament play where they started with a hard fought three-set win against Bangs.
They followed this with a close loss to Comanche with their opponents, claiming Ws by only a few points in each set.
“Overall, the girls played amazing and I’m ready to see what district brings for us,” said DHS head volleyball coach Arin Knight.
