Weekly COVID Report - April 16, 2021

Erath County officials reported two new cases of COVID-19 in the report from Thursday, April 8 that was released the next morning. Both of the positive cases were within the city limits of Stephenville. Total deaths since March 2020 were reported at 68 by the Department of State Health Services.

Fishing report

BROWNWOOD Water stained; 58 degrees; 3.26 low. Largemouth bass are fair with jerk baits, bladed spinners, crankbaits, and skirted jigs in coves, shorelines, and timber in 2-10’. Crappie are fair on minnows in brush piles and near bridge pilings, with some crappie caught in the creeks.

MS Trail Ride returning

The Cowboy Capital MS Trail Ride benefitting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, has been scheduled for May 1, 2021.

Lone Star Iris Show Sunday

The Lone Star Iris Society will be sponsoring their annual iris show, “This Land Is My Land” on April 18, 1 p.m.-4 p.m., at the Lions Club Building, 1000 East Main-Hwy 36, Hamilton, Texas. Masks are requested and social distancing will be followed.
