Local cleanup crews captivated cattle along Dublin’s neighboring highways during the annual Texas Trash-Off Saturday morning (right). Among the volunteers for beautifying the Dublin community were the Dublin Lions Club and Boy Scouts (pictured below by Mac McKinnon).

Dublin Intermediate announced several more students who reached million word milestones by reading a million words or more in accelerated reader books. Miguel Corrales has read 3.166.894 words this year. Dylan Cisneros has read 2,166,043 words. Colbyn Wiley has read 1,142,774 words.

Local families and educators came together to honor the accomplishments of students in the tropical-themed Greater Erath County Special Education awards ceremony Thursday night at Dublin Secondary School. 

Tarleton player named WAC Pitcher of the Week

Tarleton Softball player Tristan Bridges had a hand - a fairly dominant left hand - in every game of the series against California Baptist last weekend and has been rewarded with the TicketSmarter WAC Pitcher of the Week honor. Bridges was a force in the circle from the opening night.

Petition seeks consistent alcohol laws for county

A group of Erath County residents, business owners and community members gathered April 7 at Stephenville’s Chili’s location to announce a petition to support balancing the alcohol sales rules for all of Erath County.

Stop the Silence event Tuesday

The local community is invited to gather in support of those hurt by violence during a Stop the Silence Rally on Tuesday, April 20 at 5:30 p.m. in Stephenville’s Optimist Jaycee Park.
