CTFAC hosting water color exhibit The Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council will be displaying ‘Watercolors of the World,’ an exhibit of the artwork of Chuck Markham from Jan. 15 - Jan. 30 in the River North Gallery (204 River North Blvd.) in Stephenville. The gallery is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Tarleton offering free tax preparation

Free income tax preparation will be available Saturday, Jan. 29  and Feb. 19 at Tarleton State University’s Stephenville campus. Taxpayers with income below $60,000 are eligible for free tax return preparation and e-filing.

Erath County Emergency Management Coordinator Cyndi Smith reported 881 new cases of COVID-19 in Erath County in the most recent report Tuesday. The report also included a total of 2,306 probable cases of COVID that have gone unreported.
