Morning Star Ranch dedicated

The Stephenville Chamber of Commerce welcomed and celebrated new member, Morning Star Ranch with a Ribbon Cutting ceremony during a Chamber Mixer hosted at the ranch.

Cottonwood Church hosted a free meal to the community (serving and estimated 200) alongside several showing of its play, “The Faces of Easter,” telling the crucifixion and resurrection story from the viewpoints of those who witnessed it.

April 4 Dublin PD issued a citation for animal at large after a cow was reported running loose at the city park. April 5 A caller reported theft of service, saying that they paid a person to build a fence and the job was never finished.

SHERIFF’S REPORT

April 11 At 2:48 p.m. a two-vehicle accident happened on Hwy 108 North partially blocking the southbound lane, unknown injuries. April 13 At 3:12 a.m. a loose white steer with a yellow ear tag was secured on FM 1188 East, awaiting owner.

Parents and kids had lots to do as they waited for the Easter egg hunts to begin at Friday’s Eggstravaganza at the city park, with many lining up next to prize baskets for photos with the Easter Bunny (top), getting some free food like popcorn and taking a turn in the bounce houses.

Dublin FFA goes to District

Dublin FFA traveled to Weatherford Monday for the district check. Mariana Ortiz placed 2nd with her Soil & Water Stewardship speech and is advancing to area. Paige Wilson and Kaylan Kiser were elected District Vice-Presidents! They will serve as district officers for the ‘22-‘23 school year.

The last six weeks are underway at Dublin Intermediate! This is a busy time of year for students and staff as we prepare for the last day of school. Students are making a lot of growth towards their STAAR goals and we can’t wait to see how they do!

The 2022 Dublin High School Prom was held Saturday at Double N Cowboy Church with JR Carrillo and Zoe Vandormael crowned the Prom King and Queen. The Double N sanctuary was converted into an ‘Enchanted Forest’ thanks in part to Inflated Creations.

Early voting begins Monday

Early voting begins Monday for the May 7 general elections with Dublin voters deciding on three Dublin ISD School Board seats as well as the two constitutionals regarding homestead tax exemptions being decided by all Texas voters. Early voting will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
