The Bosque River Chapter of Daughters of the Republic of Texas met for lunch at New York Hill Restaurant in Mingus on May 10, followed by a tour of the W.K. Gordon Center for Industrial History of Texas.

Irish Stampede returns June 11

Dublin Lions Club is hosting the 21st annual Irish Stampede the second weekend in June in honor of local dairy farmers since June is dairy month. The run - a 10-5-2K race, will be on a certified course with the 10 and 5K races to start at 7:30 a.m.

The City of Dublin is giving citizens a chance to participate in a City-Wide Garage sale this weekend May 27-29, right before the city hosts the return of the popular Dublin Clean citywide clean up on June 4.

Relief payments offered to farms affected by natural disasters

The state’s largest general farm organization said Texas farmers and ranchers will benefit from emergency relief payments announced last week by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
