A whole new family-friendly restaurant with an arcade will soon be opening on the outskirts of Dublin on Hwy. 377. The eatery is expected to open in mid- to late-September.

Fishing report

BROWNWOOD SLOW. Water slightly stained; 79-85 degrees; 6.71 feet low. Bass excellent to 4.50 pounds on jigs, shaky heads, topwater lures, and crankbaits on docks with brush in 2-10 feet of water. Crappie to one pound are excellent on minnows 12-15 feet of water over brush piles and under docks.

County employees to get raise

3 fatalities in area over weekend

Department of Public Safety officers reported three Erath Count accidents involving fatalities over the weekend. On Friday, Sept. 9 at approximately 3:15 a. m., Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers investigated a fatality crash on US 377, six miles northeast of Stephenville.

Scarecrows to raise funds for library

Dublin Public Library is inviting the community to join in the fall spirit with a Build Your Own Scarecrow contest benefitting the local library. The cost is $50 for businesses and $25 for residents to enter. Deadline to enter is Oct. 3 and all scarecrows must be designed and displayed by Oct.
