Council talks parking on Moore Street

The Dublin City Council voted to prohibit parking on Moore Street during school hours to ease school traffic and decided on a 7.03% rate increase on trash service. Dublin Police Chief Cameron Ray advised the full council that officers had seen that parking on Moore Street between Thomas Ave. and N.

Williams hosting town hall

Congressman Roger Williams ( U. S. Representative, TX-25) is hosting a town hall meeting at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at the Station by First National Bank. The event is being hosted in coordination with the Dublin Chamber of Commerce.

Valentine’s Banquet set for Feb. 18

Double N Cowboy Church will be hosting a Valentine’s Banquet from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 for $25 a person with a chicken fried steak dinner, dancing, a live band, games, photos and prizes. Childcare is available for $5 per child, or $20 for 4 or more.

Elks Lodge hosting bingo fundraiser

The Stephenville Area Elks Lodge No. 2834 is presenting a bingo fundraiser at Grafton Events Center (112 S. Grafton) on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 6 p.m. Plans are for five rounds. It is free to play with extra cards available for a $5 donation.

A caller stated that she wanted two males in her house to leave. Officer spoke to both subjects and the boyfriend’s friend agreed to sleep in his car since he lives a few hours away and would leave the next day. A caller was walking her dog around the park and a white Dodge began following her.
