Time to register for Stampede
Dublin Lions Club is once again planning their annual Irish Stampede for the second Saturday in June.
This will be the 22nd annual run in celebration of Dairy Month set for June 10 at 7:30 a.m. for the 10K and 5K with a 2K to follow completion of the longer runs.
Trudy Spears was joined by a friendly group of fans on May 26-27 as they celebrated the first anniversary of her business, Austin Street Fabrics (112a S. Grafton St.).
Police assisted a mental health subject.
A reporting person in the 200 block of North Patrick stated that their license plate was stolen while they were inside.
A domestic dispute was referred to ECSO.
A nurse was bitten by a stray dog in the 300 block of South Camden while visiting a patient.
Last Saturday, Dublin-area resident Suzann Thompson won Best of Show (Fiber) with her knitted, quilted wall hanging, at the Southwest Gourd and Fiber Fine Art Show. The show runs through the end of June at the Kerrville Arts and Cultural Center.
When she was a junior at Dublin High School, Shauna Mahon had her first son. Some people actively encouraged her to drop out or transfer schools, but Shauna was determined to finish. In 2004, she graduated with honors.
Teachers celebrated the last day of school for Dublin ISD with their own party, filled with laughter, hugs and their fair share of ice cream with an ice cream sundae party Friday, May 19.
They were also presented their end of the year awards.
The city’s swimming pool officially opened over the weekend. Even though swimmers said the water was pretty chilly, many braved the weather and hopped in. Lifeguards watched over the swimmers
The spring 2023 Comanche County Walk Across Texas (WAT) event just finished-up this past week.
We had some great participants and supporters of this springs’ event.
Walk Across Texas! is a physical activity program that encompasses eight weeks.
