Dublin Vet Clinic adds new DVM

Dublin Veterinary Clinic and the community is benefitting from the addition of a new face as Dr. Price Ruffin, DVM has joined the practice.Ruffin is a Mason native who earned his undergraduate degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M University in 2018. He earned his DVM in 2023.
The original cabin built by Chesley Turnbowin in 1855 was purchased by Jones Barbee. Years later, the logs were moved to Wright Park and rebuilt into a beautiful one room cabin. It was completed in 1978. Submitted photo

It was in 1855 after Texas had become a state but before Erath County was created out of Bosque and Coryell Counties, that Chesley Turnbow arrived. He came to this part of Texas from Tennessee via Arkansas. He traded two Tennessee horses valued at $500 dollars for five hundred acres of land.

Sales tax up for January

Dublin sales tax collections were up in January, 13.12% compared to January 2024, according to the state sales tax report released by Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar.For the month of January, Dublin received $50,821.13, compared to $44,923.14 in January 2024.

Harbin fundraiser March 22
