Dubliner Dalton Kasel continues to rack up the Professional Bull Rider wins as he claimed fi rst in Nampa, Idaho April 18 with an 88.5 point ride which was named the Michelob ULTRA Superior Ride of the Weekend. His team, The Austin Gamblers, also claimed second in the event.

Sales tax down in Dublin, state

Dublin sales tax collections were down significantly in February, -12.37% compared to February 2024, according to the state sales tax report released by Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar.For the month of February, Dublin received $42,664.77, compared to $48,687.53 in February 2024.

Protestors champion free speech around Erath County courthouse

Dozens of demonstrators gathered outside the Erath County Courthouse Friday, April 18 in a peaceful protest organized by the Erath County Democratic Party. The event aimed to raise awareness about threats to First Amendment rights, immigration policies and education reforms.

Stop the Silence Tuesday, April 29

A chance to participate in stopping the silence related to violent crimes will occur next Tuesday, April 29 at the annual Stop the Silence event in downtown Stephenville.

Check fraud suspects indicted

Indictments by the Erath County Grand Jury have occurred for four individuals suspected of being involved in a large-scale fraudulent check and identity theft operation.
