Families settled in with popcorn and drinks Friday night on the Dublin Public Library lawn as the library screened Disney’s “Raya and the Last Dragon” at sunset. The free screening drew more than two dozen to take in the fantasy epic.

100 years July 22, 1921 Two carloads of watermelons grown in Dublin were shipped to St. Louis. Twenty car loads of watermelons were expected to be shipped, which was the entire crop of watermelons.

July 9 At 7:45 p.m. six yearlings and one heifer were reported missing from FM 847 and CR 260. July 10 At 12:39 p.m. animal cruelty was called in for three horses that were shot on CR 264, one died. At 1:33 p.m. a light grey bull with a yellow ear tag and RW on right hip was lost on CR 351.

DISD to provide supplies

Dublin ISD announced last week that all school supplies for all students, PreK-12, for the 2021- 2022 school year will be provided. Superintendent Melissa Summers stated, “All our students will need to bring is a backpack, and we will fill it with everything they need.
