July 5 A report was made for fireworks on Comanche/Trowbridge. A report was made for three dogs in the callers yard on the 600 block of Hawk. A report was made for a large black dog trying to attack a small dog on the 500 block of Sheridan.

July 3 At 4:54 a.m. a Chevy 3500 Silverado with no one around was found on fire in a ditch off of FM 2481. It had been reported as stolen. At 9:14 p.m. a very friendly dog was found lost on FM 8 West near CR 568. July 5 At 5:33 p.m.

Dublin reportedly collected nearly 20 percent more in sales tax returns for July than last year. The totals were released as part of the monthly sales tax totals reported by the office of Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar.

DABC Tourney returns July 31

The annual Dublin Athletic Booster Club Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament has been set for Saturday, July 31, at PAR Country Club. Entry fees for the 4-person scramble are $50 per person or $200 per team. All entry fees include green fees, cart, breakfast and lunch. Check-in will begin at 7 a.m.

“WE NEED HELP,” a July 4 post on the Erath County Humane Society began. At that time, the facility was “way over capacity” with 91 dogs and 97 cats.
