The Woman’s Thursday Club was inviting the community to a free piano recital from 14-year-old Paul Hancock.

Hardin Ford Sales announced the winners from the Punt, Pass and Kick competition. First place winners were: Dennis Woods (9), Bordon Reeder (10), Bart Greenway (11), Don Pair (12) and Freank Gaitan (13).

Buster Hicks and Sam Self were pictured with carp they caught at Eanes Lake in Comanche. The fishermen were among 2,000 who traveled to the lake for a fishing event.

Becky Farrar, a Republican candidate for State Representative from Hico, was pictured talking to Frances Turney during a campaign stop at Old Doc Soda’s Shop.

The Dublin City Council was meeting to decide on an interim City Manager after previously voting to separate the positions of Police Chief and City Mangerr, which were held by David Johnson. Johnson was to continue as Police Chief.
