Those wanting to vote early for the March 5 primary that includes Federal, State and County-wide elections only have through Friday, March 1 to do so, with Election Day being held Tuesday.Those wanting to cast ballots in Dublin can do so 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, March 1.

Sales tax drops in December

Dublin sales tax collections were down in December 2023 at 7.5% lower compared to December 2022, according to the state sales tax report released by Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar. For the month of December 2023, Dublin received $60,315.08, compared to $65,246.59 in December 2022.

Feb. 5 A reporting person came into the station to report the neighbor’s dog was severely malnourished. Call was referred to animal control. There was a report of a reckless driver that tried to cut off the reporting person and went onto the sidewalk in Deleon.

The Dublin Garden Club held their regular monthly meeting at 3 p.m. Feb, 14, at the Trinity Anglican Church Fellowship Hall. Lonnie Jenschke, Erath County Extension Agent, was the guest speaker. Mr. Jenschke spoke about good practices for successful composting.
