Fatality kills teen on Hwy. 377

A fatality accident snarled traffic Wednesday, Feb. 21 on Hwy. 377 near CR 258.The preliminary investigation by State Troopers indicates that a 2016 Hyundai Elantra, driven by Jessica Pacini, 23, of Stephenville, was stopped on the highway crossover on Hwy. 377 to travel on to CR 258.

Council clarifies break up

The Dublin City Council met briefly in a special meeting Monday, March 4 to terminate the city’s contract with McCreary, Veselka, Bragg and Allen law firm in collecting delinquent tax collection.

Neighbors aid with panhandle fires

When the largest wildfire in the state’s history blazed through the Texas Panhandle, all hands were on deck, including firefighters from Stephenville FD.The fire started Monday, Feb. 26 and is known as the Smokehouse Creek fire, which has consumed nearly 1.2 million acres.

FCCLA moves onto state competition

All members pictured placed in the Top 5 at Regionals and is moving on to state competition. Students will compete at State April 12-14 in Dallas. Sponsor Regina Rasberry told students she was proud of all of their work and dedication.
