Cub Scout Pack 35 held its annual Pinewood Derby Saturday, March 21 with outstanding participation and a whole lot of fun.There were 33 cars entered with 26 Cub Scouts, four Siblings, and three adults.

EGGStravaganza set April 4

Dublin’s 5th EGGStravaganza is hopping into town Saturday, April 4 at the City Park.The free event organized by Dublin Dairy Queen and The Dublin Citizen with nonprofit sponsor CWJC is set from 9-11 a.m. with all hunts set to begin at 9:30 a.m.The event will be held rain or shine.

Soccer camp takes Dublin by storm

Dublin Memorial Stadium was filled Saturday, March 21 for the free soccer camp hosted by Community Connection Cohorts. There were plenty of activities and resources on the grounds in addition to the soccer drills and scrimmages.

District to pay off bond early

Dublin ISD will save more than $12,000 and potentially help taxpayers by paying off a bond early.At the Monday, March 23 DISD school board meeting, the board voted to use monies in its debt services fund to pay off the remaining $1.2 million of a $6.6 million bond from 2015.

Lions statebound as girls medal

DHS is sending one Lions to the state powerlifting contest on the heels of several ladies placing high (and even breaking a record) in state competition last week.
