Accident claims active volunteer

A two vehicle accident on Tuesday, Feb. 9 claimed the life of Jada L. Permann of Dublin according to a report by Texas Department of Public Safety. Permann was recognized by Erath County Humane Society as an active supporter who went “above and beyond” on the organization’s Facebook page.

Area yields to cold

More than 4.3 million Texas households and businesses found themselves without power Tuesday morning after unseasonably cold winter weather covered all of Texas and much of surrounding states Sunday afternoon and settled in. That number dropped to 2.

Trash pickup moved to Fri./Sat.

Waste Connections, the city’s service provider announced that pick-up in Dublin has been rescheduled from Wednesday to Friday and Saturday this week due to winter weather. Dublin residents were asked to put out trash for pickup by 7 a.m. on Friday and leave it out until picked up.

Sat. events rescheduled

Winter storm advisories prompted the rescheduling of two events set for Saturday. Love Run 5K The Transformation Pathway, Dublin’s Christian Women/Men Job Corps Love Run 5K and Fun Run was recheduled to March 13 to accompany St. Patrick’s Day festivities.Saturday, Feb. 13.
