FEMA aid available to Erath

On Monday, Erath County was among an additional 31 Texas counties added by FEMA to the President’s Major Disaster Declaration for Individual Assistance in covering repairs and costs associated with winter storms this month.

Although last week’s snow had melted and warmer temperatures returned by last weekend many Dublin residents were left with a costly reminder of last week’s subfreezing temperatures: broken and cracked water lines.

Titan offering showers to those without hot water

Titan Fitness (125 S. Patrick) is offering free showers today from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. for those without hot water at their home. Free showers will also be available Friday, Feb. 19 from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. You do not have to be a member of Titan Fitness to shower.

Chacon named to Dean’s List

Dublin’s Angel Chacon was named to the Dean’s List of Academic Honors at Sam Houston State University. Students on the are undergraduates who have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.5 out of a perfect 4.0 in all work attempted while enrolled in not less than 12 semester hours.
