4-H Summer Camps are a long-standing tradition of fun and learning. The Texas 4-H Conference Center on Lake Brownwood was completed in 1975 and has welcomed campers since then.

Registration is now open to the public for summer camps at the Conference Center. That’s right!

Anyone can attend a 4-H Summer Camp! Camps are filling up fast so be sure to get registered today! There are a number of camps to choose from including Fishing Camp, STEM Camp, Outdoor Adventure Camp, Wildlife Camp, Horizons Camp (Woodworking, Wildlife Adventure, Veterinary Science, & STEM options), County Camp, Aperture Photography Camp, and Prime Time Camps. Camp goers will participate in a large variety of skills and fun such as swimming, shooting sports, rock wall, adventure course, 3D Printing, Robotics, engineering, games, dancing, crafts, fire building, backpacking, outdoor skills, bowfishing, and numerous other activities depending on the camp that they choose.

Prime Time and County Camps are for the campers that want to experience a little of it all.

The 4-H Conference Center is also in need of camp counselors and Adult Chaperones. It has been especially difficult to find male chaperones.

\All chaperones and counselors must pass a background check and complete child safety training. The Conference Center is also allowing Senior Level 4-H youth to act as camp volunteers. All lodging, meals, and training is provided.

This is a wonderful leadership opportunity for 4-H youth! For more information on 4-H Camps and to register, visit the Texas Conference Center web page at www. texas4hcenter.tamu.edu or call 325-784-5482. Happy camping!!
