Erath COVID Report - Aug. 11, 2021

Erath County released updated COVID-19 numbers on Wednesday night after starting to report them again on Tuesday. The Aug. 11 report indicated there were 255 active cases of COVID in Erath County, up from 234 the day before.

Community gardens available at library

Community gardens are available in Dublin. Free garden space is available at the Dublin Public Library. This is the time to start a fall garden. There are raised bed gardens, gardening tools and nearby water.

Dublin Market Days return Aug. 21

It looks like we will get a break in temperatures for the week of Dublin Market Days. Of course, you can’t count on weather forecasts, but you can count on Dublin Market for lots to see, good people, and goods of all sorts.

Rodeo set Sept. 11 at City Park

Diamond Cross Rodeo will present a UPRA/CPRA sanctioned rodeo at 7:30 p.m. in the Dublin City Park Arena. The event will feature award-winning rodeo clown Chase Nolan, a 9-11 Tribute and concessions. Tickets will be $10 to enter with free admission for kids 10 and under.

Fishing report

BROWNWOOD Water lightly stained; 89 degrees; 0.60 feet low. Largemouth bass are fair with blue or purple Texas rigged plastic worms, bladed spinners and shaky head jigs near grass lines, timber rocky shorelines, and docks. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs in brush piles and near bridge pilings.
