Stock Show starts Monday

The Erath County Jr. Livestock Show starts Monday, changing its traditional venue of the stock show grounds to City Limits in Stephenville. Schedule of Events Monday, Jan. 3 9 a.m. Breeding Doe Show 3 p.m. Weigh and classify lambs and goats Tueesday, Jan. 4 9 a.m.

Citizen closed for New Year’s

The Dublin Citizen will be closed Friday, Dec. 31 and re-open on Jan. 3 so that the staff may celebrate the New Year’s holiday. The closure will not affect subscribers from receiving copies or the deadlines for the following edition. The Citizen wishes everyone a Happy New Year!

Homestead freeze set for 65+

The Erath County Commissioners’ Court voted to freeze residence homestead taxes for Erath County residents age 65 and over during a regular meeting Tuesday morning.

CDC shortens quarantine time

The Center for Disease Control reported on Monday that it was shortening the recommended time for isolation from 10 days for people with COVID-19 to 5 days, if asymptomatic, followed by 5 days of wearing a mask when around others.

Liquor rules approved Dublin City Manager Bobby Mendez reported around five current and potential business owners had expressed interest in registering to sell liquor under the city ordinance approved by the City Council in January.
