Registration open for beef short course

The 70th annual Texas A&M Beef Cattle Short Course on Aug. 5-7 in Bryan-College Station is open for registration. The event is hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Department of Animal Science.

AgriLife Extension district reporters compiled the following summary for the Central Texas district: The district averaged rainfall up to 4 inches with torrential downpours reported in some areas.The rain created flooding issues in areas that were saturated.

An Erath County Elections Administrator position was formed at Tuesday’s County Commissioner Court meeting with an official start date of Oct. 1.

DHS grads embrace future

Seventy-nine students walked across the stage Friday, May 24 with one special presentation posthumously to the family of Eddie Hernandez who would have walked with the class of 2024 at Dublin High School’s commencement ceremony at Bob and Norma Cervetto Field.

Intermediate Library receives donation

Dublin Intermediate Library was presented with a $500 check by the Erath County Association of Retired School Employees (ECARSE) on Friday, May 17. Librarian Riley Jo Dunlap accepted the check from incoming president Vicki Cook (right) and treasurer Brenda Burks (left).
