Where Are They Now?

Kysha Hair has worked for convenience stores for nearly a decade. Later this year, she’ll be running her own. Hair graduated from Dublin High School in 2010, and started working at Biggs in Dublin. She stayed there for seven years. “I loved my customers,” she said.

Alexander’s respected historian, Leon Lewis sat down with a reporter from the Dublin Progress in 1954. The story he told was published in an article titled “The Rise and Fall of Alexander.” That story is summarized here.

The dawn of zombie nouns

Is it too early to talk about zombies? Halloween is still about a month away, but Home Depot is selling creepy inflatable lawn creatures. In addition, Starbucks has its pumpkin spice latte (the McRib of hot drinks) back on the menu. Surely it’s zombie season.

Dublin has had a number of car dealerships over the years. None of them came close to the look of the new Chevrolet dealership that opened January 7th 1950. The $60,000 building was circular in form and had large plate glass windows.
