On Saturday, The Dublin Chamber of Commerce hosted a banquet honoring Dubliners for their contributions to the community. An event like that doesn’t happen without a lot of planning and volunteering.

Erath County voters showed up en masse for the Nov. 8 General Midterm elections, with 53% of registered voters casting a ballot. In Erath County, 13,129 ballots were cast – 435 absentee, 7,377 in early voting and 5,317 on election day.

Robert Harry McCain, his wife Martha Ann and daughter Ira moved from Arkansas to Texas in the late 1800s.  They eventually moved from Desdemona  to Dublin on July 31, 1888.  He became interested in the little town and soon became a leading citizen in Dublin.

13 arrested on drug trafficking charges

A total of 13 individuals are now in custody on conspiracy and drug trafficking charges after an operation with the DEA, Stephenville PD and Erath County Sheriff’s Office. The trafficking charges were outlined in a criminal indictment filed on Sept. 26. Defendants were arrested on Monday, Oct.
