Runners hoof it in Stampede

The Dublin Lions Club hosted the annual Irish Stampede10-5-2k Saturday, June 14 with proceeds benefitting the activities of the Lions Club in supporting the local community and youth.Prizes were awarded to the top 3 runners overall and in each age group.

Dublin boys battle in close games

The Dublin summer basketball teams had a busy week of close battles as the varsity boys split wins and the JV went 3 for 3.The Dublin JV bested Comanche 51-23, Early 51-36 and Huckabay 61- 44.The varsity started the Huckabay league play by battling to a 55-50 loss against the host team.

“It was awesome.”These were the words DHS head baseball coach Andrew Norwood used to describe his selection in leading a team in the Big Country Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) All-Star game as he headed a team with two former players alongside his own high school coach.

Volleyball Camp starts Monday

Lady Lions Volleyball Camp in cooperation with Sky High Volleyball Club will be held from 10 a.m. to Noon on June 16-18 in the DHS Roy and Lynn Neff Gym.The camp is open to girls that have completed kindergarten through 8th grade. Camp fees are $35.

Incoming DHS Sophomore Haden Keilers is traveling a lot this summer as the athlete, who has played in competitive select teams in DFW, has joined the National Lady Dukes 2028 Premier Team and is playing softball across the country.
