BROWNWOOD

FAIR. Water stained; 85-88 degrees; 0.19 below pool. Black bass are fair to 3.65 pounds in 4-25 feet of water on trick worms and square bill cranks and topwater around the grass. Early and late will be your best bet on catching any fish. Crappie are good to 13 inches on minnows and jigs in 12-25 feet on deeper large docks with brush on the main lake and on scattered brush piles. White bass are slow to 1.25 pounds on crappie jigs and minnows out of the lights at night. Catfish are good to 15 pounds on jug lines with cut shad on the main lake flats and minnows around the docks mixed in with the crappie.

GRANBURY

GOOD. Water good clarity; upper 80s to low 90s degrees; 0.17 feet below pool. Water temperatures continue to be in the upper 80s to low 90s in the back of the sloughs. Clarity is good and thermoclines are starting to develop around the 20-foot level. Best action is sand bass on many areas of the lake using Pet Spoons trolled behind a crankbait. Slabs work good on the sand bass and small striped bass when on humps and ridges in 12-20 feet of water. Striped bass to 10 pounds are possible on live bait and trolled jigs in 12-20 feet of water mainly on the lowerendsbetweenDecordova and Blue Water Shores. Largemouth bass are schooling early with the sand bass near feeding flats and are good on topwater baits and lipless crankbaits. Bigger largemouth to 7 pounds are possible on crankbaits and soft plastics fished near creek entrances and near main lake points.

POSSUM KINGDOM FAIR. Water stained; 86-88 degrees; 0.08 feet below pool. Water clarity is 2-6 feet of visibility. Stripers are slow with live bait being your best bet. Nothing is being caught trolling at the moment. Look for them in 20-40 feet of water. They are moving fast, so you’ll have to slowly move around and pick them off one at a time until you find a good school. Then try to stay on top of the school, which can be extremely tough as they are moving fast. Sand bass are still fair to good in 5-10 feet of water on main lake points and sand flats. Chrome and white colors are outproducing all others. Catfish are fair on cut shad in 10-20 feet of water fished on the bottom. Baited holes are your best bet to catch numbers but won’t produce big fish. Bait with cattle cubes and wait 2-3 hours before fishing. Use punch bait for best results on baited holes.

PROCTOR

FAIR. Water stained; 87 degrees; 0.11 feet above pool. Catfish are good on cut bait and live bait with reports of good catches of channels. Patience seems to be key, letting baits sit rather than constantly retrieving is producing better results. Brush piles are holding fish with some good takedowns reported. Striper fishing has been reported by local anglers. Reports of white bass caught trolling in shallow water. Crappie are transitioning to brush piles.
