Lions cancel for COVID concern

The Dublin Lions are facing an extra bye week before District play starts with an Oct. 9 game against Comanche at home. This decision follows several football players testing positive for COVID-19 after the weekend.

Lions cut teeth in 44-28 loss

The Dublin Lions fought against tough opposition again on Friday in a 44-28 loss to the Anson Tigers in a game which was rescheduled from away to home due to flooding on the Anson field.

Lady Lions squash Early

The Lady Lions have a 5-6 record now after a win against Early followed by a loss against Brock on Saturday. Last Tuesday’s game against the Early Lady Longhorns was won in three sets by the Lady Lions (25-21, 25-18, and 25-18). Madilyn Loper had 19 kills, seven aces and three solo blocks.

The Dublin Cross Country team claimed more honors Friday at Wichita Falls as the boys placed first as a team thanks in part to top 10 finishes by Jilt Deboer (1st), Daniel Escobar (2nd), Giovanni Rodriguez (4th) and Emiliano Hernandez (7th). The girls placed eighth as a team in the event.
