The 2021 Dublin Lions rushed into the season with a 43-7 away victory over the DeLeon Bearcats. Greg Hardcastle, who has stepped up to head coach and athletic director this year, expects this to be an omen of a good season to come.

The Lingleville Cardinals are only a game into their season but they are already showing an improvement that head coach Ken Davis hopes to build on all season. That first game was against the tough Lometa. “Last year, they 45’d us at halftime,” said Davis. “This year, we were 22-14 at half.

Dublin cheerleaders brought in members of the volleyball and football teams to compete in a dance contest during Friday morning’s pep rally at Cervetto Field. Athletes showcased some moves on both sides but it was the football boys who won after they showed off doing ‘the worm.
