Trucks arrived in Dublin with the 1940 harvest of peanuts. They later went to the Dublin warehouse where the peanuts were sold. More than 3000 tons had been delivered according to Hogan Scott, in charge of buying at the warehouse.

This year marks 20 years of a Dublin charitable institution: The Love Basket food pantry. On the first and third Fridays of every month, Ray and Barbara Sissom and a small group of volunteers open The Love Basket, a drive-through food pantry that serves more than 100 local families.

Where Are They Now? Georgina Chacon

Dublin graduate Georgina Chacon and her family came to the U.S. not knowing English, and Chacon faced barriers to getting a higher education. Despite those obstacles, she’s built a successful professional career for herself, and continues to further her education on the side.

Faith: Building on the Foundation

I once had a dream that several friends and I were walking through the woods. We came to a clearing and there, in the middle of that clearing was an old foundation. It wasn’t very large, probably about the size of a shed, and the building had rotted down over the years, leaving only the foundation.
