100 Years Ago Dec. 10, 1920 According to the Dublin Progress and Telephone, the home of Tom W. Wilson was destroyed by a fire that destroyed everything. Fortunately, no one was in the home since the family had gone to visit a neighbor before the fire began.

Comanche Chief On Monday, Nov. 23, authorities were dispatched to Proctor Lake for a possible drowning at around 1:30 p.m.. A witness reported that a vehicle was attempting to back a boat towards the water when it became dislodged and began drifting off the trailer.

Tis the season

There is a giraffe hidden in this paper. Well, not an actual giraffe. Can you imagine the shipping costs?! The Fossil Rim ad in the Holiday Shopping Guide on page A8 has a picture of giraffe that is a bit more special than any other picture of a giraffe to me.

The Erath County Jr. Livestock Show is only a month away and organizers have made some changes to the schedule and routine to make it safe for all its entrants and spectators.

Decreasing Hay Waste and Recycling Nutrients

We have had relatively warm weather and the late season rains we were so lucky to receive helped extend everyone’s grazing season. Where we were looking at the possibility of having to start feeding in September, most were able to delay hay feeding for a month or more.
