Fishing report

BROWNWOOD Water slightly stained; 59 degrees; 2.50 low. Largemouth bass are fair with crankbaits, skirted jigs, and bladed spinners in 3-12’ near creeks, rocky shorelines, and fallen timber. Crappie are good on minnows in brush piles and timber near a creek channel.

POLICE LOG

November 16 Dublin PD was informed of female subject going house to house in the 600 block of Ireland and entering homes without permission. November 17 A reporting person advised of an aggressive dog charging toward a female subject in the 500 block of Grady Street.

SHERIFF’S REPORT

November 21 At 5:36 p.m. a blue truck was found up on its wheels through a fence on FM 847 near CR 277, no injuries. November 22 At 8:34 a.m. a black Kia Forte rolled over on State Hwy 6 East, no injuries. At 9:11 a.m. the Red Barn at Camel Stop was reported on fire on US 377 South.

75 Years Ago Nov. 30, 1945 Community members were invited to the Proctor School for a night of “Fun and Entertainment For The Whole Farm Family” on December 3. The advertisement said that four new pictures would show, “including a comedy and Walt Disney Short.” Doors opened at 7:30.

Holiday Cares package announced

Last week, Governor Greg Abbott announced the Holiday Comfort Food Care Package (CFCP) program, in partnership with the Texas Restaurant Association, to provide holiday meals for at-risk youth and families in communities across Texas, while also supporting local restaurants.
