Early voting underway for federal, local, liquor elections

Early voting in the Nov. 3 general election is now underway, bringing several local, state and federal races for Dublin and Lingleville voters to decide upon. As of Tuesday morning, a total of 9,664 Erath voters have cast their ballots in person with 8,294 in Stephenville and 1,370 in Dublin.

CTFAC hosts reception for eclectic artist

 The Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council (CTFAC) invites the public to come experience the “vivid and vibrant”  eclectic artwork of Hill Country artist Grady Newton on display through October 31st at the River North Gallery, located at 204 River North Blvd in Stephenville.

Erath County officials reported 13 new cases of COVID-19 in the report from Thursday night (Oct. 22). Nine of these new positive cases were from within the city limits of Stephenville and four were rural residents of the county.

Crop Report

The following report was prepared for the Central Texas region: Conditions were good. Dry conditions prevailed with unseasonably hot temperatures, resulting in some topsoil moisture deficits again. Pastures were still green with warm-season grasses and some winter grasses were beginning to emerge.
