DJH students make Concert/Symphonic ban

DJH students make Concert/Symphonic bands

The Sound of Dublin band had fifteen 7th and 8th grade students compete on Saturday for the chance to make either the Symphonic (top band) or Concert Band for ATSSB Region 7 SZ Middle School. The band had four students make the Concert Band and one student make the Symphonic Band.

A new exhibit at the Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council (CTFAC) will feature a variety of artwork by local Art Instructor, Opal Black and her students. Opal’s class met each Thursday at CTFAC throughout the year, creating over one hundred pieces of art that will be showcased for this exhibit.

The beautiful Shamrock Park, where the library is located, is a wonderful addition to the downtown area in Dublin. It wasn’t always there. It took the energy and imagination of some citizens over 90 years ago to create it.
